By car or motorcycle. On-street parking is available, which is currently unrestricted on Sundays and on Bank Holidays. Monday to Saturday, 8am - 8pm, most parking bays are permit holder only, but there are 2 and 4 hour visitor bays along parts of Desborough and Cherbourg Roads. (These can be a little congested when the near-by school and college are open. See Hampshire School Holidays for details).

By Bike. Doncaster Road, High Street and Cherbourg Road are all part of the On Road Advisory Cycle Route shown in yellow on the lower left quarter of the Eastleigh Borough Council Cycle Map.

By Bus. Bus stops close to Emmanuel are marked on the map above by little blue symbols and are served by:

  • The Bluestar 2, between Fair Oak, Eastleigh Bus station and Southampton West Quay. Stops for this service are in Derby Road near All Saints Church, 2 or 3 minutes walk from Emmanuel.
  • The Velvet A (run by Stagecoach or First Bus off peak) between Botley, Hedge End, Southampton Airport/Southampton Airport Parkway railway station and Eastleigh Bus Station. Stops for this service are in Chestnut Avenue near Dosanjh’s corner shop, also 2 or 3 minutes walk from the church.
  • The Wilts & Dorset 65 (Route 34 on Saturdays, no Sunday service) between West Wellow, Romsey, North Baddesley and Eastleigh. This service also uses the stops in Chestnut Avenue near Dosanjh’s corner shop, 2 or 3 minutes walk from the church.

By Rail. Emmanuel is close to 2 stations.

  • Eastleigh Station is 10 minutes walk from the church and served by all the above bus routes. It is well served by South West Trains services from London Waterloo, Southampton, Bournemouth, Portsmouth and Salisbury.
  • Southampton Airport Parkway Station is about 20 minutes walk away and is on the Velvet A bus route. It is served by South West Trains services from London Waterloo (Fast), Southampton and Bournemouth, as well as CrossCountry services from Southampton, Bournemouth, the Midlands and the North.
