We Connect…
Emmanuel Baptist Church is a member of Connect – Churches Together in Eastleigh. A group of 14 local churches from a wide and diverse selection of denominations that work together where possible to represent Christ and the Gospel in the Eastleigh area.
As such we were pleased to join the 13 other local churches that signed the following Covenant at a special service at Eastleigh Baptist Church on 19 January 2014. Emmanuel was one of the signatories to the original 1994 Covenant.

Local Covenant for Unity
1 – We confess our faith in the risen Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour according to the Scriptures, and acknowledge our calling to follow him in this world.
2 – We give thanks for what we have in common and also for our diversity and pledge ourselves to seek a unity which Christ desires for His Church, believing that through His Spirit He will guide us into His Truth and draw us closer to His Father’s will for us.
3 – We value each Church represented and seek to uphold the integrity of each other and pledge to seek opportunities to promote unity and provide for a united witness to Eastleigh and will seek to do nothing on our own that could better be done together.
4 – We resolve to keep our progress under review, with the intention of re-affirming this Covenant every five years.
